I've gone for Stevo's 115 as the only one I witnessed. The innings was made even more remarkable by the fact that the last man out was not the number XI but the opener, who had scored thirty runs less than number XI ~!

I was there for part of Lehmann's 300+ .. but still think that his 2001 knock against Lancs was a better innings.
And it could be Geoff and it could be John
With a new ball sting in his tail
And it could be me and it could be thee
And it could be the sting in the ale

It will be another 62 years before we celebrate the 4000th CC match, if you think this is a stupid poll, perhaps you may be better waiting for the next one to cast your vote.

EXACTLY, how can you choose the greatest all time performance when we have only seen a fraction of them. some of us have been living in the new world for most of them.

You don't have to have been there in order to form an opinion and make a judgement. There's people out there making a good living reading, writing and forming an oipinion on the merits of Julius Caesar and I think some of us know cricket better than the historians will ever know dear old Julius.
Cricket, above all other games is about it's history and the greats of the past will be discussed long after the present day has departed the scene. Let's enjoy and take pride in our history, we have one better than most and if you don't know it all or can't form an opinion then get down to the library and read up on it, there's enough out there to fill in any blanks. After you've finished with the books please pop them down the the players dressing rooms and Mr Brophy and co can catch up with the history too.

Oh come on everyone - it's just a bit of fun!
The actual result doesn't really matter.
I voted for George's marvellous match on the basis that no-one will ever do that again...

Which George did you vote for, as George Hirst is pointless so far.

I voted for his game in 1906 - two centuries and 11 wickets seemed like quite a decent day at the office to me.

Where's Brophy's 14-ball half century against Derbyshire in the Twenty20 a few years ago?
